Everytime I try to start up my computer and load Windows XP Professional, the
system simply restarts.

I kept trying and eventually I got this blue screen which said a bunch of
stuff.. the technical error was something along the lines of..
"STOP Xexxeeeeexxxxxx Xeexxxxxxxxx"

.. I have no idea what to do. If I could get into Windows XP Safe Mode and
do a System Restore I thought that might work but that won't even load. And I
don't know how to get into the BIOS settings.

HELP!

Insert your recovery CD and boot from it and reinstall XP into the same
partition.

For a start, you could write down the exact error message. Then you
could research what it means, and how to cure it.

Any particular error message(s)?

And I
don't know how to get into the BIOS settings.
What makes you think that your BIOS settings may have anything to do
with your problem - anything you didn't tell us?

Alternatively, as Mike Schwab suggested, re-install - probably faster.

Rather than doing a full restore which will blast ur data away , boot the
machine using xp cd and just at the point it tells you to install xp choose
the repair option this will copy all system files back in bu8t will maintain
your data!!

Good Luck
